The term “ Free In and Gross Out” and “Gross In and Free Out” are terminologies used for charter. The term free in and gross out is to cover chart rates for loading and unloading. In the agreed freight rates, the loading expenses are excluded whereas the unloading expenses are taken in.

Similarly, in the term “Gross In and Free Out”, the loading expenses are included and the unloading expenses are excluded in the agreed freight rates.
