As the name indicates, the nuclear type of endosperm the division of the nucleus takes place within the cytoplasm only and are free.

The wall may be created at a latter stage but initially they are free.

In case of cellular endosperm, the wall is created after every division of the nucleus. Some examples of the plants are Adoxa, Datura.
