Freudian approachof counselling is all about giving stress on self with  sense of subconsciousness.

It says  that sex plays  a very important role in the overall development of personality.

On the other hand, Adlerian approch of counseling is all about highlighting the importance of society in personality development. It may be treated as community psychology.
