difference between Galileo and Newton telescope

Galileo's telescope was the first refractor: it used a convex lens to gather its light. Newton's telescope was the first reflector: it used a concave mirror to gather its light. The main difference i believe is that Newton's had light going through it, while Galileo only used lenses
