Ganesh jayanti it's a artificial word i mean it's a modern i think.
and ganesh caturthi it's a ancient festival.
which celebrates in maharashtra. .
but this is my 1st time to listen ganesh jayanti.. if u know about that please inform me. ....

I think Ganesh Jayanti celebrates the birthday of Lord Ganesh whereas Ganesh Chaturthi celebrates the arrival of Lord Ganesh on Earth.
