Gas and vapor are the same. Gas is the more scientific use. Although when it comes to vapor pressure, a scientific concept, vapor pressure is the correct term. In this sense, vapor pressure is the equilibrium pressure of the gas/vapor above its liquid form. Scientifically, gas pressure would refer to the pressure of a gas whether or not liquid or solid is present.
