Gear drive:-
A gear drive drive requires two gears for operation. The two gears are spur cut, and the drive gear receives force from the power output. 

Gear train:-
Gear train is a system of gears which transmits motion from one shaft to another.

Gear Train- It is system and combination of gears that transmits motion from one gear to the another one.

Gear Drive- Transmission simply refers to gear box that uses gears abd gear train to provide speed conversions from rotating power source.
