Difference between gondwana and tertiary coal fields in points ?

gondwana is found 200 million years ago whereas tertiary deposits are found about 150 million years ago

Gondwana Coalfield :-

♣ These coalfields are older than tertiary coalfields.

♣ These r located in the eastern states of India I. e., West Bengal , Jharkand , Jharia, etc.

♣ The Godavari , Mahanadi and Son Valley also have coal deposits.

TERTIARY COALFIELDS :-

♣ These coalfields are newer than Gondwana Coalfield.

♣ These r found in North Eastern states of India :- Meghalya , Assam , Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.
