The chief morphological difference between gorilla and chimpanzee is one of size; their appearance, apart from the sagittal crest of the male gorilla, the longer coat and smaller ears in gorillas, and the pink skin colour of chim- panzees when it occurs, is rather similar. Their body proportions are very similar.
