Gram positive bacteria have a thicker cell wall while Gram negative bacteria have a thinner cell wall. The peptidoglycan content in cell wall of Gram positive bacteria varies from 60-90 % while in Gram negative bacteria the same varies from 10-40%Acid fast bacteria stain pink using the dye Carbol-fuchsin due to a high concentration of mycolic acids in their cell wall. ...
