Answer:

Every object in the universe exert gravitational pull to other objects. When the gravitational pull is exerted by Earth it is call Gravity. So gravity is the pull by earth. Whereas acceleration due to gravity is acceleration by which any object comes towards the earth within its gravitational field.

Explanation:

  • Gravity:The force of attraction by Earth is called gravity.

  • Gravity of Earth =9.8m/s^2

Acceleration due to gravity:It is also known as free fall ,this occurs when an object is dropped from a height under Earth's gravity . While falling, speed changes and it results acceleration. This acceleration is due to the Earth's gravitational force and hence is called acceleration due to gravity.

It is denoted by g and value of g =9.8m/s^-2.
