Green Manure:

Certain plants when grown in field stabilizes nitrogen in the soil thereby enriching the quality of the soil. such plant seeds sown in field by putting little water once, will allow it to germinate and produce saplings. these plants are allowed to grow for a period of around 30–45 days. When it starts flowering, all these plants are crushed using rotavator blades of tractor so that all parts of plant decomposes and improves carbon content of soil. More importantly, the rhizobium on the root nodules of plants will thoroughly mixed in the soil which fixes the nitrogen content which is very important for plant growth. This is one of the processes of adding green manure to fields. Atleast 20 kG of seeds should be sown in 1 Acre land(1 Hectare=2.5 Acres)

By adding certain varieties of leaves of trees like pongamia, gliricidia, neem, calatropis, casia fistula ant etc.., to soil, we can improve quality of soil which is also called as green manuring. In this methos you need to add around 2 tons of leaves.

Organic Farming:

The farming methods which were followed till a 100–200 years back is very much organic farming where they never used chemicals like synthetic fertilizers and pesticides for farming. Integration of naturally available salvaging techniques and implementing natural methods to farm constitute organic farming. ex: usage of gomutra(Cow Urine) instead of chemical pesticide, Usage of Cow dung and vegetable degraded matter as fertilizer, cutting down weeds mechanically instead of using chemical sprays are some of the methods followed in organic farming.

Preparation and Usage of Panchagavya, Jeevamtrutha, Agni asthra, Neemasthra are also well proven techniques. Recently developed CVR method refers to apply soil solution on to plants to avoid any attack of insect and virus. These above techniques don’t involve in cost. simply they can be produced with low cost at agricultural site and can be applied in simple way.

Contemporary Organic farmers are using technology along with ecofriendly farming techniques to yield better harvesting tonnage. like drip irrigation, Green house, atmosphere control systems in closed space.
