e.g growth of leaves in a plant
2- growth irrelevant movement- also called nastic movements and are not influenced by growth

Difference between growth relevant movement and irrelevant movement:
- The growth relevant movement and irrelevant movement is meant for plant.
- The growth movement in plant is in all direction of the external influence or stimulus which is known as tropic movement. This is known as postive tropism.
- The growth irrelevant movement are two types which is nastic and tropic.
- The nastic movement is not towrads the external stimulus. The best example is the droppping of the leaves mimosa plant when touched.
