Different between Handspan, cubit, Fathom ---------

Cubit ------ The cubitis the measure from your elbow to the tip of your middle fingerwhen your arm is extended.


Handspan ----Thehand-spanisthe measure from the tip of your little finger to the tip of your thumb when your hand is stretched out.



Fathom --- Fathom is the unit of length used principally in the measurement and specification of marine depths.

Explanation

Length

It is defined as extent to which any thing ranges from end to end .

There were  ancient system of measuring lengths that is :

Hand span

Cubit

Fathom

Hand span

In this we  measure the length with  hand span by using the  length of their arm, and then figure out how many of their hand span lengths are in their arm length.

Cubit

In this length is measured from  elbow to the tip of your middle finger when your arm is extended.

Fathom

Fathom is the unit of length which is principally used in measuring the  marine depths.
