The difference are as below :-

1) Hard disk : It is an electro mechanical data storage device. Information remains intact even after switching off the computer.

2) CD ROM : It is a pre-pressed optical compact disk that stores data. It stands for Compact Disk : Read Only Memory.

3) DVD : DVD stands for digital versatile disk. Some DVDs are formatted especially for video playback, while others may contain different types of data, such as software programs as well as computer files.

4) Pen Drive : Pen drive or USB flash drive is a portable memory device used to store information from any computer.
