heat conductors are those which transfers heat from one position to another position by the activity of conduction, convection or by radiation are conductors of heat... but heat insulators are not capable of doing this.

Explanation: For example:

Iron which is a metal. If we heat it at  one end then heat transfer to the other end and other end also get heated but if we take  rubber or any other insulator then if we heat it at one end then heat stays there and does not transfer to the other end .
