Herbs are very small non-bushy plants.

Answer:
(1)Herbs are seed-producing, non-woody plants. Herbs die at the end of one growing season.
•Herbs have only an unbranched stem.
•There are three types of herbs based on the lifecycle.
•Biennial herbs take two years, perennial herbs live more than two years and annual herbs complete the cycle in a year.
Example- grass

(2)Shrubs are woody plants having many stems arising near the ground.
They are bushy.
•Shrubs are taller than herbs and shorter than a trees.
Example- rose plant

(3) Trees are woody, perennials with a single trunk.
•They grow to a considerable height.
•The height of a tree is atleast 13 feet.
•Life span of trees is very large as compared to herbs and shrubs.
Example - Mango tree.
Hence, herbs, shrubs and trees are differentiated on the basis of size, type and lifespan.
