Answer:

The Himadri- These are the northernmost ranges of the Himalayas. The Gangotri and the Yamunotri glaciers which give birth to the Ganga and Yamuna rivers respectively are located here. Some of the world’s highest peak like Mt- Everest in Nepal and Kanchenjunga in India lie in this range.

The Himachal- Middle Himalayas mAll the important hill stations such as Dalhousie, Dharmasala, Shimla, Mussorie, Nainital and Darjeeling belong to this range.

The Shiwaliks- It is the southernmost range of the Himalayas . Some narrow valleys are found in this part. They are called ‘duns’. Dehradun, for example, is situated in one such valley.
