Basically history and archaeology are the subjects to know our past. chronology is base of both subjects. Generally we can say that history and archaeology are same , but they are many differences between history and archaeology.

History is literary records and sayings only , while archaeology is the system of study of antiquities and the wearing of earlier literary record of people from remains of the building.

Main feature of both subjects is to study the development of human culture.where literary sources are not found, we take support of archaeological sources like remains, monuments inscriptions and coins. History and archaeology reflects our past before us. Archaeological sources prove truthness of literary sources.Literary sources may be imaginary, but archaeological sources are true and proved. But we should not forget that history and archaeology are complement of each other.....
