Difference between horseshoe magnet and naturally occurring mineral

A horse shoe magnet being man-made is of a definite shape and usually made to last temporarily not more than a decade or so. A natural magnet formed naturally however do not have any particular shape and last permanently. A horse shoe magnet also has less magnetic strength than a natural magnet.
