Hydroxylamine hydrochloride

It is a monomoamine oxidase inhibitor. It is utilized in preparing oximes as well as hydroxmic acids in organic sysnthesis. It performs the work of a copolymerization inhibitor. It is an important starting material in the preparation of agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals. It is used by the plastic and rubber industries as a vulcanization accelerator, an antioxidant, and a radical scavenger. In colour films it is used as an emulsion additive and colour stabilizer.

Hydroxylammonium Chloride

It is the hydrochloric acid salt of hydroxylamine which is a biological intermediate in the nitrification and the anammox. Nitrification refers to the biological oxidation of ammonia with oxygen into nitrite. Anammox refers to the biological oxidation of nitrite and ammonium into dinitrogen gas. These are important in the nitrogen cycle in soil and in wastewater treatment plants.

Hydroxylammonium chloride is used for the same purposes for which hydroxylamine hydrochloride is used.
