Hey Priya

Example: A 6-yr old girl named Alisha, sees an Ice-cream parlor. The ice-cream is her favorite ie Tooty-Fruity.

1. ID: Primary Instinctual part of Self
basic needs and feelings. Based upon Pleasure principle.
eg - Alisha wants the ice cream, real bad. She keeps on arguing with her mother to get her one.

2. Ego: Based upon the Reality principle
eg- Her Mother, Ms. Mamta knows that she is ill and she also has no money left for the cushion to buy, let alone the ice-cream. She refuses.
Acc to Psycho-analysis , ALISHA's EGO-part realizes that her mother stops her to argue.

3. Super-Ego: Moral part of the Mind, strives for perfection.
eg- Alisha tries to think and find a way to get that. Instead of arguing and fighting with her mother, she asked her father to get her one and promised to study.

She got the ice-cream, hurrah!
