IISc and IIT would have no difference in placements or reputation or infrastructure and faculty.
IISc (First-Hand Experience):
Course Structure: 15 courses for M.E. First semester consists of all the basic courses in the different domains of aerospace. If you are from non-aero background, it is great since it gives you a very good flavour of aerospace basics.
IIST: Frankly I don’t have much of an idea. But expect the staff to be mostly scientists from ISRO, they might not have the ability to teach although they might be brilliant at concepts. But you will be connected to real time work, unlike the other two institutes where u would have no idea of real time implementation of the research. Placements would only be in ISRO, I heard they are not able to absorb everyone.
