The word 'indoor' means carried on within the building.
Indoor games are the games which can extensively played within the building. They are often played outside also.
Board games are the best example of indoor games.The word 'outdoor' means done outside the door.
Outdoor games are the games which can be extensively played outside. They are prohibited to play indoors.
Sports like cricket, badminton, hockey, tennis, football, rugby etc are the examples of outdoor games.

Indoor games are played inside, in confines of four walls whereas outdoor games require players to go out in the open and play. The examples of indoor games are chess, carom board, table tennis and the lawn tennis, cricket, hockey are the few examples of outdoor games.
