TOPIC - DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INFECTIOUS AND NON INFECTIOUS DISEASES-

INFECTIOUS DISEASES -

✍️ These diseases are caused by some biological agents ar pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, protozoans, helminthes, nematodes and fungi.

✍️ Infectious diseases can rapidly spread from one person to another by various means such as physical contact, water, air, food and insects.

✍️ Since these diseases are communicated from diseased person to healthy person they are known as Infectious disease.

NON INFECTIOUS DISEASES -

✍️ These includes above described organic or metabolic diseases.

✍️ The non Infectious disease are restricted only to those person who are suffering from them.

✍️ These are not spread from infected person to healthy person.

✍️ NON infectious disease may be caused from :

1) the lack of certain essential substances in our diet, e.g.,proteins, vitamins, minerals (deficiency diseases).

2)general wearing out or degeneration of tissues as in old age (degenerative disease)

3)uncontrolled growth of tissues in any part of body (cancer)

4)defect in the metabolic reactions (metabolic disorder)

5)injury and damage to any part of the body accidents.
