1. insectivouros plant feed on insects.
2. saprotrophs feed on other plants.

The saprotroph depends on the dead and decaying matter for the mode of nutrition.  The insectivores depends on the different variants of insects for the mode the nutrition. This would be the major difference among the saprotoph and even the insectivores.
