Difference between intercropping and mixed cropping ?

Inter cropping -  1. The main object is to utilize the space left between two rows                                    of the main crop
2. There is no competition between 2 crops
3.  Sowing time may or may not be same

Mixed cropping - 1. To get at least one crop under favorable condition
                               2. All crops are cared equally
3. The crops are almost of same duration
