The difference between intermittent and Continuous supply of water is as follows:

Intermittent Supply of Water:

  • In the Intermittent case, Water is supplied at different times of the day.
  • Water is supplied at some hours during the morning and some hours in the evening.
  • The quality of water gets low because an intermittent supply of water through pipes can cause water-borne diseases.
  • Consumption of water is low in this case.

Continuous Supply of water:

  • In the Continuous case, Water is supplied throughout the day.
  • Due to high pressure, chances of contamination are always low.
  • Quality of water gets better but consumption of water also gets high.
