Defference between internal and external respiration:·

  • Internal respiration refers to the gas exchange accross the respiratory membrane in the metabolizing tissues. But external respiration refers to the gas exchange accross the respiratory membrane of lungs.
  • In internal respiration oxygen diffuses out from the blood into tissue.But in external respiration oxygen diffuses from alveolar air into the blood.
