Ur answer is here
=> The external focusing anal lactictelescope (porro's telescope). The internal focusing telescope. The firsttype is known as stadia theodolite, while the second type is known astacheometer. The tacheometer hasthe advantage over the first and thirdtype due to fact that the additive constant of the instrument is zero.

The main difference between internal and external type of telescope in tachometer is there is a additive constant which is zero.
1) The external tachometer is used for measurement of horizontal and vertical angles.
2) The internal tachometer is used for measurement of horizontal and vertical distances.
3) The external is suitable for plane and hilly areas with less obstacle.
4) The internal tachometry is suitable for grounds with obstacles.
