Hey !!
Intrinsic Semiconductor
- It is a semiconductor in pure form.
- Intrinsic charge carries are electrons and holes with equal concentration.
- Current due to charge carries is feeble ( of the order of μ A ).
Extrinsic semiconductors
- It is a semiconductor doped with trivalent or pentavalent impurity atoms.
- The two concentrations are unequal in it. There is excess of electrons.
- Current due to charge carries is significant ( of the order of mA )
GOOD LUCK !!
