Hey !!

Intrinsic Semiconductor

  • It is a semiconductor in pure form.
  • Intrinsic charge carries are electrons and holes with equal concentration.
  • Current due to charge carries is feeble ( of the order of μ A ).

Extrinsic semiconductors

  • It is a semiconductor doped with trivalent or pentavalent impurity atoms.
  • The two concentrations are unequal in it. There is excess of electrons.
  • Current due to charge carries is significant ( of the order of mA )

GOOD LUCK !!
