Answer:

Isotopes are atoms of the same element with same atomic number but different mass number. Ex Hydrogen has three Isotopes which have the same atomic number (1) but different mass number due different number of neutrons in their nucleus. Isobar are atoms of different elements with the same mass number but different atomic number. Ex calcium and argon have the same mass number (40) but different atomic number ( cal - 20,argon - 18)

ISOTOPES :-

ONE OF TWO OR MORE FORMS OF A CHEMICAL ELEMENT THAT HAVE DIFFERENT PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS BUT THE SAME CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS CALLED ISOTOPES.

EXAMPLES :- CARBON, IODINE, POTASSIUM, DEUTERIUM AND TRITIUM.

ISOBARS :-

ATOM OF DIFFERENT ELEMENTS WITH DIFFERENT ATOMIC NUMBERS, WHICH HAVE THE SAME MASS NUMBER ARE KNOWN AS ISOBARS.

EXAMPLES :- ARGON, POTASSIUM AND CALCIUM.
