Kadallai paruppu is bigger and fatter in size and thuvaram paruppu is thinner and flatter in size ...both belong to dhal variety

Kadalai Paruppu which is known as Chana Dhal andThuvaram Paruppu which is popularly known as Toor Dhal.

Kadalai paruppu is of yellow color which is bigger and heavier in size. On the other hand, Thuvaram paruppu is also yellow in color but smaller and flatter in size.

Thuvaram paruppu is typically known as Tamilian meal which is used to make sambhar. Kadalai paruppu is generally used to make dishes such as poli, vegetable side dish, pakoda and kolumbu which was served with raw banana.
