Latitude is an anglular distance of a place North of South of the equator

Longitude is the angular distance of a place East or west of the prime meridian

•It is the angular distance along the equator measured in degrees. It is measured east or west of Greenwich 0degree to 180degree.

•There are 360degree of longitude, 180 degree each in east and west of the prime meridian.

•The longitude are used to determine the time with refrence to the time at prime meridian (GMT)
