Gratiano and Launcelot Gobbo, both are funny characters in the play ' Merchant of Venice '. Gratiano is a friend of Bassanio and Antonio and belongs to the high class society. On the other hand, Launcelot is a servant in Shylock's house and belongs to low class. Gratiano makes intelligent remarks to create humour but Launcelot plays the fool by talking rubbish and making stupid mistakes.
