difference between leeward side and windward side

hi there,
windward side is the side that receives the wind.
leeward side does not receive as mountains block the winds.

Lee ward is the drier side or otherwise the side which gets no rain because of the presence of a mountain whereas windward side gets rain because of its presence in the the opposite side of the leeward side.
