In linear kind of program, the code
is written in such a way that every
new block is a part of the program
but isnt directly connected or
based on the previous or next
part, nor the block of code is a sub
block of any other block of code in
the program.
in Branching Program, a block of
code is defined, then with the help
of nesting, more blocks or say sub
blocks which are directly
connected or based on the above
block from it are written. Say a
function is defined and then with
the help of nesting, sub functions
are defined.

Programmed instruction is a method of presenting new subject matters to students in a graded sequence of controlled steps. Students work through the programmedmaterial by themselves at their own speed and after each step test their comprehension by answering an examination question or filling in a diagram.
