on the basis of their fluid during rate of diffusion= rate of diffusion depends on the density of particals such as in gases particals can move quickly and freely the movent of molecules in gases is freely due to its very loose packing where as in liquid it is restricted to one container and specific area due to its packing arrangement.so,the rate of diffusion in gases is higher and faster as compare to liquids.
