Difference between ‘living and non-living things’ is as follows:

Living things:

1. They grow in size. Example: A small embryo grows in to a full grown adult.

2. The living things reproduce. Example: Every cell keeps dividing.

3. They respond to the surrounding. Example: Tree growing towards sunlight.

Non-living things:

1. The non-living things do not grow.

2. A non-Living thing does not reproduce.

3. They do not respond to a surrounding unless they are preprogrammed to do so.
