Local knowledge is the term which is known for the people living in specific location.

Eg. Occurrence of small accident in particular location and hence it reaches only specific group of people.

Universal knowledge is the term what is known for everyone. Eg. News, facts etc., which reach massive audience belonging to various parts of the world.

Local knowledge is the personal information which an individual has concerning an idea .

This kind of knowledge varies from one to another and can only be determined by the individual characteristics.

On the other hand universal knowledge is the one that everyone has and knows about an idea

For instance when one sees bed or she will associate it with sleeping.
