= Any waves travel to the parallel in the direction of propagation is called longitudinal waves.

= Particles of the medium oscillate back and forth.

Transverse waves

= When the sound traveling to the direction of perpendicular of the propagation is called the transverse waves.

= Particles of the medium oscillate up and down.
