A longitudinal vibration is a continuous periodic change in the element's displacement. In this type of vibration the motion by the medium is always parallel to the direction of waves.
In case of transverse vibration the moving medium is the right angled to the direction of waves.
Torsional wave is the special type of wave also known as twisted wave
it is only exist in solid matter.in these type of wave propagating motion is always periodic.
