difference between loudness and Pitch

These two phenomena seem to be same sometimes but they are not exactly the same. They differ on the basis of their tone quality. The pitch of a sound is our ear’s response to the frequency of sound. Whereas loudness depends on the energy of the wave. In general, the pitch is the reason behind the difference in voice quality of different individuals.

The pitch of a sound depends on the frequency while loudness of a sound depends on the amplitude of sound waves. Amazingly, many musicians, who have been trained are capable of detecting a difference in frequency between two separate sounds that are as little as 2 Hz.

HeyMate

Loudness or Amplitude

1) this phenomenon of sound depending on the amplitude of the sound wave if the amplitude of the sound wave is less than the sound is said to be loud

2) it is directly proportional to the square of amplitude of vibration.

3) sound above 80 decibels become noise the human ears

Pitch

1) this depends on the frequency of vibration of the Waves

2) if the frequency of vibration is here we see that the sound Israel and has a high pitch
