difference between lysosomes and ribosomes?

Eventhough the name Lysosomes and ribosomes feels like rhyming words,
they are entirely different things
but note that both are cell organells.


Lysosome, first discovered by Christhian de duve, also called as suicidal bags.
the isolated lysosomal vessicles have been found to be very rich in almost all types of hydrolytic enzymes, these enzymes are capable of digestion of carbohydrates, proteins etc

Ribosome is the smallest cell organelle. discovered by george palade in 1953, also called as palade particles. these are the Protein factory of the cell.
