Meiosis:-

  1. meiosis consists of two stages.
  2. meiosis produce haploid cells (23 chromosomes).
  3. meiosis produce four genetically different daughter cells.
  4. for example human gametes are haploid and contain 23 chromosomes.

Mitosis:-

  1. mitosis consists of only one stage.
  2. mitosis produce diploid cells(46 chromosomes).
  3. mitosis produce two identical daughter cells.
  4. healing of wound, growing of body are examples of Mitosis.
