Prokaryotic cells do not possess membrane bound organelles whereas eukaryotic cells possess membrane bound organelles as well as non-membrane bound organelles.
Membrane Bound Organelles
Membrane bound organelles that are generally found in eukaryotic cells are rough endoplasmic reticulum, smooth endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, mitochondria, plastids and lysosomes
Non-membrane Bound Organelles
Organelles, which generally do not contain membranes, are ribosomes, cytoskeletal structures, centrioles, cilia, and flagella.
