Meristematic Tissues:

  1. These tissues have ability to divide.
  2. They have thin cellulose wall.
  3. They do not have intercellular spaces.
  4. They are responsible for primary and secondary growth of plant.
  5. They have dense cytoplasm with prominent nucleus.
  6. They have small vacuole in their cytoplasm.

Permanent Tissues:

  1. These tissues cannot divide.
  2. They have thick cellulose wall.
  3. They have intercellular spaces present in them.
  4. They are responsible for various growth of plant parts.
  5. They have thin cytoplasm with normal nucleus.
  6. They have a single large vacuole present in their cytoplasm.
