1 Metals Oxides are basic in nature where as Non-metals Oxides are acidic in Nature....
2 Metals are electron donaters where as Non-metals electron accepted a...
3 Metals generally have high melting point...where as Non-metals have low melting point
4 Metals are donating electron thus they always form Ionic bond where as Non-metals are accepting or sharing electrons thus they form covalent bonds..

metals on reacting with acids evolve hydrogen gas BT non metals don't . Metals most of the time form ionic compounds with nonmetals BT nonmetals form covalent bonds with other nonmetals. Metals form salt on reacting with acids .metals form basic or amphoteric oxides n nonmetals form acidic oxides on reacting with oxygen
