Metals are malleable, ductile,sonorous, good conductors of heat and electricity , non brittle , and hard . most of them occur in solid state . they are electropositive in nature.

But in the case of non metals they are non malleable,non ductile ,non sonorous, bad conductors of heat and electricity, brittle and mostly soft. they occur in all the 3states that is solid ,liquid and gaseous state. the are electronegative in nature.
