difference between metals and non metals are as follows..

METALS.

1 they can be beaten down to make sheets.

2 they are good conductor of heat and electricity.

3 they form positive ion.

4 they have shiny surface.

5 they are durable.


NON METALS

1 They cannot be beaten down into sheets.

2 They are not conductors.

3 They form negative ions.

4 They do not have shiny surface.

5 They are not durable...

1. Metals are electropositive whereas Non-Metals are electronegative.
2. Most metals are lustrous, Most non-metals are Non-lustrous.
3. Metals are sonorous, non-metals are not.
4 Metals are non-brittle, non-metals are brittle.
